  • No More Excuses

    GE did overnight the part we all suspected was needed, so when our shady, little repair man showed up during dinner last night we were prepared.  He made his diagnosis and announced he'd have to order the part and come back another time.  I wish I could have seen his face when Patrick informed him we ALREADY had the part, and he could go right ahead and finish the job.  I suspect he had told his wife he had just one more quick stop before heading home for the night.  That was not to be.  Anyway, he stayed and fixed it...so I'm back in business.  Hmmm...but now I have no more excuses for why the laundry's not caught up.

    I will share...we will NEVER buy a GE appliance again and absolutely positively not from SEARS.  And that's all we have ever bought.  After all three of our kitchen items - fridge, micro and oven have had issues within the first year (and you know they are the midtop line stainless, latest, whatever....) and we had purchased the extended 3 year coverage on all of them yet were told we had to wait 2 weeks from next Tues to have someone come out, and when they did they had to order the part and we had to wait another 2 weeks from next Tuesday to have it fixed, FORGET IT!   Noone at GE or Sears gave a rip when we called to complain. 


    Next time, I'm buying something, anything from a local appliance store that will service it with a smile!


    But I think I'll make sure they aren't associated with your repair place!
